Austin was one of the founder members of the club and is still playing strong today. He shows tremendous skill and ability to performer all manner of shots and is looked up to by every member of the club. Austin has been awarded the Powys commitment award for his efforts in developing Petanque in the local area.
AJ lives for competition, his skills and determination are infectious to all club members. AJ has been playing boule from a very early age and the results are easy to see, his touch and vision are a sight to be seen. AJ is also the teams biggest fan and he livens up the team with his charactor and humour. Keep up the good work AJ. :-)
Mark is another young gun in the side, he has excellent skills and can hit shots that some people dont believe. He has been on the curcuit a number of years now and has gained the reputation of being one of the best singles players in the league and on the Welsh scene. Mark has travelled with the team throughout Europe and is looking to take more titles in the coming years. Keep up the good work Mark.
Jim has taken the club on from strength to strength. He is an extremly accomplished player and has won many prestigeous titles on the boule circuit. He has a good blend between his pointing and his shooting and is a match for any player in the league. Jim along with AJ took the Irish Blitz Title this year.
Maggie is the heart of the club. This lady is one of the nicest people you could ever meet, she has played all over Europe with her husband and friends Bob & Beryl Dawe. Maggie has also represeted Wales and could trow a mean boule. These days Maggie is our Number One supporter and gives out advise to players whenever she can. Maggie is another one of the fine cuisine makers on a Wednesday nights. We miss her playeing, but we all love to she her there supporting us. Best of health for the future Maggie. We all love you xx.
Tom like his Mum and Dad has just returned to the club, he is showing his old skills again and has beaten a number of good players this season. Tom was one of the first junior members of the team, he competed in many tournaments as a junior with his great friend Robert Hesslewood would sadly is no longer with us. Tom is loving every minute of his comback and you can see him everyday out on the pistes practicing. A Welsh player in the making many have tipped.
One of the early members of the club Paul has won many titles and has travelled with the welsh team up to Scotland where he met one of is hereos Marco Foyet. Paul has just returned to the game with his wife Jane and his son Tom and is enjoying every minute of it. His shooting ability is second to non and with the practice and comitment that he is showing he can only get better. Look out for this player.
One of only three lady members of the club Jane has showed her pointing skills have not be lost. Like Husband Paul she has just returned to the game and has been missed. She is one of the Welsh Ladies who competed in the Celtic Challenge match that was played at the Millenium Stadium. Jane also contributes to making the food for Wednesday nights league games and im sure every player in the league with say that her fresh cooked corned beef pie is second to non.
Bill is an outstanding player, he has represented Wales and the Marches in many competitions. Bill has both the shooting ability and the pointing skills to give any top player a run for their money. Orginally right handed, after breaking his hand Bill switched to playing left handed and the rest is pure petnaque history. Bill travels all the way up from Camarthan with his wife Julia to play his boule. The club a pleased to have them both and would like to thank them for their commitment every week.
Julia is one of the most important memebrs of the club. Travelling up from Camarthan with her husband Bill she supplies the team with some of the best food in the league. Along with Jane and Maggie the ladies feed the home and away teams with what many have said to be the best spred in the league. All the club thanks Julia for her efforts and may she continue expanding the waistlines of the home and visiting teams for years to come.
Michael is another Welsh International, he has both excellent pointing and shooting skills. Mike has travelled with Wales and Brecon RFC PC to many tournament aboard and is one of the key members in the league.
Arrt hails from Holland, but this adopted Welshman is one of Brecon RFC PC main players. The 'Big Fella' as captain AJ calls him puts up a mean boule and look out for your ankles when he is shooting!. Arrt has won many competitios and is looking to add to his trophy cabinet next season.
Andrew is another youngster at the club and has shown his pontetial this season. He has good pointing skills and is a superb team player. Always looking to improve Andrew practices after every game to home in his sights on many victories that will surely come in the future.
Gareth is a new memeber of the club and has also shown great promise this season. He is forming an excellent partnership with Andrew and is also looking to gain more victories next season. Look out for this partnership on the pistes.
