Ysgol Penmaes Pupils take up Petanque Challenge
Pupils of Class A4 have taken up the challenge to learn the game of petanque for the ASDAN quilification. The pupils visit the club every Friday to show off and home their skills. Tom Jones who works at Ysgol Penmaes said " The pupils are really enjoying the challenge, it is great to see them enjoying a new sport. They all have great skills and ability to learn the game."

Beeling Trophy Dream Ended
Wednesday night saw Brecon RFC PC take on The New Inn in the Semi Final of the Beeline Trophy. With the New Inn fielding a strong side Brecon RFC PC struggled from the start, with only the pairing of Jim and Joanie taking a win. The singles saw Jim fight back hard but eventually lose and the triples followed the opposite pattern with Tom,Mark and Joanie racing out to an early lead, only to be pinned back and lose 13-10. Good luck to the New Inn in the final.
Brecon Teams Struggle in Celtic Qualifiers
Sunday saw the Celtic Qualifiers held at Wenvoe. Two teams entered from Brecon, The Front Row (AJ,Jim & Arrt) and the Aberhonddu Blues (Mark, Tom & Paul). As the weather closed in all teams found it hard going with a number of top teams failing to qualify. Brecon's day was just as disappointing with the Front Row winning just 3 games and the Aberhonddu Blues winning a miserable 1. Better luck next year guys.
